Police Find Drug Haul Inside Stolen Vehicle During Traffic Stop

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police came across a haul of drugs Monday evening after pulling over a stolen vehicle in the area of Redwood Avenue and Main Street.

Officers noticed the vehicle was bearing a stolen licence place and conducted a traffic stop at around 8:10 p.m. They also discovered the vehicle itself had been stolen from East St. Paul, Manitoba on July 4.

A K-9 unit was called to the scene and a police dog noted that drugs were present.

Officers found a bag within in the vehicle containing:

  • Stainless steel pellet gun with black plastic handle and steel magazine
  • 126 grams of Methamphetamine
  • 14 grams of powder cocaine
  • 49 Percocet’s
  • 67 alprazolam’s
  • 18 Hydromorphine pills
  • 7 omeprazole pills
  • Numerous packaging materials and scales

Erin Matthew Moar, 23, and a 23-year-old woman — both from Winnipeg — face numerous drugs and weapon charges.
