Teen Pedestrian Killed by Drunk Driver: RCMP

RCMP Logo VehicleA 35-year-old woman is in police custody after RCMP say she was impaired behind the wheel when she struck a pedestrian in St. Theresa Point, Manitoba on Thursday.

A 13-year-old girl was walking southbound on the main road near the community’s nursing station when she was hit.

She was taken to hospital in Winnipeg and later died from her injuries.

A 32-year-old man riding as a passenger in the vehicle was uninjured.

Paula Wood, 35, has been charged with impaired driving causing death.
