Winnipeg police arrested a man Sunday after getting a call that an impaired driver was parked near Buchanan Boulevard and Hamilton Avenue.
Police arrived at around midnight to find the vehicle parked near a chain link fence. The driver was taken into custody and officers searched the vehicle.
They found an Airsoft-style gun, a knife, collapsible baton and tools believed to have been used for a break and enter, including a cordless grinder, black gloves, a hammer, tape, binoculars, a flashlight and a grinder blade.
Officers also seized 12 grams of methamphetamine valued at $1,950 and $280 in cash.
A 35-year-old man of Headingley faces numerous charges and remains in custody.
