Winnipeg police arrested two people over the weekend accused of stabbing a man in Central Park.
The 19-year-old victim was in the area at around 1:50 a.m. Saturday when two people confronted him and a 21-year-old woman.
Both victims were forced to lay on the ground while having their belongings stolen. Police say the suspects then violently attacked the man.
Two suspects were located at a hotel nearby a short time later.
Kenneth Alfred Alex McKay, 25, of God’s River, Manitoba and Michael Frank Flett, 23, of Winnipeg, face robbery, assault, and weapons charges.
The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition, but later upgraded to stable.
