Men Arrested After Five Winnipeg Break-Ins

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo men have been charged after Winnipeg police say they were responsible for several break-ins and thefts across the city.

The two were picked up Tuesday morning in the 200 block of Notre Dame Street and found to have a bag containing several break-in tools.

Police believe they are responsible for break-ins on Colony Street, De La Morenie Street, Beliveau Road, Gerard Street and on the University of Manitoba campus, where a backpack was stolen on July 16.

Jessie Lee Berens, 36, and Terence Michael Cancard, 37, face break-in and theft charges, as well as other offences.
