RCMP Logo VehicleManitoba RCMP don’t expect to lay charges against the driver involved in a fatal collision with a pedestrian on Highway 59 last weekend.

The body of the 21-year-old Selkirk man was found by a passerby lying on the roadway near Provincial Road 304 in the RM of St. Clements on August 19.

Police say the victim was walking along the road at around 1 a.m. when he may have been struck by multiple vehicles.

Witnesses and other drivers have since come forward to provide information. Police say the man was hit by a trailer being pulled by a vehicle and the driver has been in contact with officers.
