Uber Eats is officially up and running in 30 Canadian locations today, including Winnipeg.
Foodies can now tap their smartphones and get food delivered from a number of local restaurants and national brands.
“Launching in these 30 new cities supports our efforts to bring food delivery to more Canadians through the Uber Eats platform,” said Dan Park, GM of Uber Eats Canada.
“Canadians want to be able to enjoy food in a way that fits their lifestyle. As the world’s fastest growing meal delivery service, we are expanding in order to meet those demands with the convenience of reliable delivery.”
Uber Eats say it is on pace to be operating in 100 Canadian cities and towns by the end of 2018. Thursday’s launch also includes Halifax, Regina, Saskatoon and surrounding cities in Vancouver.
Initial Winnipeg restaurants on the service include Jeffrey’s Restaurant, Saucers Cafe and East India Company Pub & Eatery.
The Uber Eats app is a free download in the App Store and Google Play.
