WINNIPEG — Firefighters put out a blaze in a seven-story apartment building Monday before it could spread to other units.
Crews were called to Mayfair Place at around 6:05 a.m. and found the fire confined to one suite.
The building was evacuated and the occupant of the suite was taken to hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
The city says residents will be able to return to their suites later this mroning once the building has been ventilated.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimate is currently available.
