If you’re thinking about leaving an old bicycle at the curb this Giveaway Weekend, The WRENCH wants you to consider other options.

The non-profit bicycling repair and education hub is asking Winnipeggers to donate their unwanted bikes to 4R Winnipeg Depots.

“Winnipeg’s epidemic of meth addiction is causing a spike in bike theft. Leaving unwanted bicycles at the curb makes it worse,” said Patrick Krawec, managing director.

The WRENCH will properly dispose of bicycles and reuse parts as part of their UpCycle WE Build workshop.

4R Winnipeg Depots are located at the following locations:

  • Brady 4R Winnipeg Depot 1777 Brady Road, south of the Perimeter Highway
    Weekdays 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Weekends 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
