Man Dragged Trying to Recover Stolen Vehicle

Winnipeg Police CrestA man was dragged by his own vehicle while trying to get it back from a thief on Friday afternoon.

Winnipeg police say the vehicle was stolen earlier in the week from the Rossmere area. The owner spotted it being driven in the area of Gateway Road and McLeod Avenue at around 1:35 p.m.

That’s when he tried to stop the driver, but was dragged and injured while doing so. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

The vehicle was later recovered, but no arrests have been made.
