Fisher River Man Killed After Being Hit While Walking on Manitoba Highway

RCMP Logo VehicleA 30-year-old Fisher River man was killed Friday night when he was struck by a vehicle near the Manitoba community.

RCMP say the man was walking on Provincial Road 224 at around 9:45 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle being driven by a 63-year-old Fisher River woman.

The woman stopped and immediately contacted police.

The man was taken to hospital and later pronounced deceased.

Alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in the collision.

RCMP continue to investigate.
