Winnipeg police have arrested two people after a man was dragged while trying to recover his stolen vehicle earlier this month.

The victim had come across his vehicle on September 7 near Gateway Road and McLeod Avenue. He tried to stop the driver, but was dragged and injured. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police issued warrants for the arrest of two people on September 12.

Melissa Ashley Forest, now 26, and Scott Kenneth Lindell, 39, were arrested on Monday and Wednesday, respectively. They remain in custody.

The vehicle, which was stolen from the Rossmere area, has since been recovered by police.
