RCMP Search for Driver After Pedestrian Hit on Manitoba Highway

RCMP Logo VehicleRCMP are looking for the driver of a truck that hit a pedestrian on a Manitoba highway west of Gypsumville on August 30.

At around 1 p.m., a pedestrian was hit on the westbound shoulder of Provincial Road 513 by a black truck travelling in the same direction. The truck didn’t stop after it hit the victim, who was lying on the side of the road for about 10 minutes before a passerby stopped to help.

The victim was driven to a nearby residence by the passerby and police were called. They were then taken to hospital.
