WINNIPEG — A water main break Tuesday afternoon sent water streaming into the underground parkade at Portage Place.
Water filled the streets on the Promenade near Vaughan Street behind the mall at around 1 p.m.
People who park their vehicles monthly in the parkade have been asked to move them. Parking attendants have also been dispatched to help people with their vehicles, according to a notice posted near the parkade.
The break was reportedly caused by a private contractor working nearby who damaged a private water service.
