Teen Pepper Sprayed, Robbed at Gunpoint on Winnipeg Street

Winnipeg Police CrestWINNIPEG — A 16-year-old boy was sent to hospital in stable condition after being pepper sprayed, assaulted and robbed at gunpoint on Monday.

Winnipeg police say the incident took place in the area of Portage Avenue and Vaughn Street at around 2:10 p.m.

The teen told police he had just met the suspects inside a nearby shopping centre. Once they were outside, he was physically assaulted and had his backpack stolen.

The suspects were later found in the area of Qu’Appelle Avenue and Balmoral Street and taken into custody.

Brock Bentley Mann of Winnipeg, 18, and a 17-year-old boy face numerous charges, including armed robbery and weapons offences. They both remain in custody
