WINNIPEG — The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba has been called in after a police-involved shooting early Thursday in the 300 block of Mountain Avenue.
Winnipeg police responded to a report of shots fired in the area at around 12:04 a.m. and encountered a male youth. He was taken to hospital in stable condition with minor injuries and later released.
No officers were injured in the shooting and no further details have been released.
