A Winnipeg man has been charged after police found a gun in his pants Wednesday evening.
Drug enforcement officers were in the area of Main Street and College Avenue at around 7:25 p.m. when they noticed a taxi cab driving evasively. While attempting a traffic stop on the vehicle, two rear passengers opened a door and tried to quickly walk away while the cab was still in motion.
Police spotted a black pistrol grip firearm in the waistband of one of the men and took both passengers into custody.
Police later found a .22 calibre lever-action rifle in the pant leg of one of the men.
Keifer Stone Bruce, 22, is facing weapons charges, along with three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
The other man was released without charges.
