Winnipeg police are looking for a woman accused of assaulting a German exchange student and a Winnipeg Transit driver.
Police say the 18-year-old German student was crossing Portage Avenue near Vaughan Street Wednesday night when the suspect began to follow her. As the woman got closer to the intersection, she was slapped twice and had her phone, wallet, identification and personal papers stolen.
Police say the suspect fled the area on a transit bus. Once on board, fellow passengers were harassed by the woman and she was asked to leave by the bus driver.
The woman approached the female bus driver, shoving her and spitting in her face before exiting near Panet Road and Keenleyside Street.
She is described as Caucasian or Metis in appearance in her 20?s with a skinny build, 5’3″-5’4″ in height with shoulder-length dark hair with copper/red ends. She was wearing a black jacket with a fur hood and dark jeans.
