Winnipeg emergency crews responded to reports of a possible explosion in the south end of the city on Thursday night.

Firefighters were called to Cadboro Road, just off Waverley Street, at around 10:21 p.m. to find a houseboat and trailer fully engulfed by flames. Water had to be shuttled in using tanker trucks because a hydrant wasn’t available nearby.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available.
