RCMP have charged a man in relation to the death of a 57-year-old woman injured in Berens River last summer.
Police responded to a home within the community on June 22 and found the woman had been seriously assaulted. She was transported to hospital in Winnipeg and died on September 26.
RCMP arrested and charged Anthony McKay, 22, on Friday. The Berens River man was already in custody at the time of the arrest.
He is scheduled to appear in Winnipeg court on Sunday.
