Man Stabbed Confronting Intruders in Windsor Park Garage

Winnipeg Police CrestA 68-year-old man was stabbed Monday evening while confronting two people in a neighbouring garage in the Windsor Park area.

Police responded at around 6:10 p.m. to the 100 block of Maplehurst Road and found the victim suffering from a significant laceration.

Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim to stem the bleeding. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

Police say the victim confronted a woman in the garage and was attacked by a man, who stabbed him and fled.

The K9 unit was unable to locate the suspects, who are described as an Indigenous pair in their early 20s.
