Winnipeg police came across several weapons early Thursday after pulling over a vehicle related to a suspected robbery.
Police were flagged down by a convenience store employee in the area of Ellice Avenue and Arlington Street at around 12:45 a.m., stating a theft had just occurred.
The suspect got into a vehicle being driven by an accomplice and fled the scene.
Officers caught up to the vehicle near Portage Avenue and Erin Street, where they deployed a stop stick. The vehicle came to a rest and police approached it in the 1700 block of Portage Avenue.
Both the male driver and a female passenger were taken into custody.
Police found a loaded .22 rifle between the driver and passenger seats, as well as a folding knife, a large hunting style knife, an eight ball, and a single round of .22 calibre ammunition.
A 17-year-old female Winnipeg youth faces weapons and theft charges.
Myles Anthony Delima of Winnipeg, 31, also faces weapons charges, as well as theft, failing to comply with a probation order and driving with a suspended licence.
