Winnipeg police have a 15-year-old boy in custody, charged with manslaughter after the death of a 17-year-old boy on Saturday.
Police were called to the 1000 block of Sherburn Street at around 12:20 a.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
The 15-year-old has also been charged with causing death by criminal negligence, discharging a firearm in a reckless manner, possession of a firearm contrary to a probation order and failing to comply with a probation order.
The suspect remains in custody.
