Winnipeg Police Trying to Identify Victim of Hit and Run Collision

Winnipeg police are working to identify the pedestrian victim of a hit and run on Friday night in the area of McDermot Avenue and Sherbrook Street.

Police say the man was struck by a car at around 8:10 p.m., which then took off from the scene. The victim is between the ages of 30 and 40 and was transferred to hospital in critical condition.

The vehicle involved was located a few blocks away and the driver has been identified. Charges have yet to be laid as the investigation remains in its early stages.
