Four Winnipeg Teens Charged After Gun Pointed at Multiple People

Winnipeg Police CrestWINNIPEG — Four youths are in police custody after pointing a firearm at several people on Monday evening.

Police responded to the area of McPhillips Street and Mapleglen Drive at around 6:50 p.m., but couldn’t immediately locate the suspects.

A 19-year-old man had a gun pointed at him when he confronted the teens for trying door handles on multiple vehicles in the same area.

About 10 minutes later, a 37-year-old man was walking through a parking lot in the area of Inkster Blvd and Airlies Street when the suspects confronted him. They asked if he had any money and pointed a gun at him demanding his backpack.

The teens were found in back lane in the 900 block of Inkster Boulevard and taken into custody. A knife was found on one of the suspects.

A 14-year-old, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old boy face several charges, including firearms offences.
