Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have arrested and charged two people after armed robberies stemming from online sales.

A 27-year-old man was robbed of the jewelry he was trying to sell on October 29 when he met up with a seller at a public location in the 1700 block of Henderson Highway.

Police say he met a man and handed over the jewelry. When another man gestured to pay, he also took out a handgun and pointed it at the victim. Both suspects fled with the jewelry and money.

In a second incident, a 38-year-old man made arrangements to meet a woman at a home in the 300 block of Marion Street. Once inside, an armed man ordered the victim to leave, but not before the suspects stole his money and cell phone. The victim wasn’t injured.
