Winnipeg Teen Charged After Truck Set on Fire

A 17-year-old Winnipeg boy is in police custody after a truck was set on fire Friday morning.

Police and the K9 unit responded to the 200 block of Bronx Avenue at around 1:15 a.m., where the teen is accused of setting a fire and running away.

The teen was eventually tracked down with a stolen bicycle at the intersection of Bronx Avenue and Roch Street. Police say after he fled the scene, he broke into a second vehicle and a detached garage, where he stole the bike.

The suspect has been charged with arson causing damage to property, break & enter and theft.
