Winnipeg’s annual snow route parking ban is coming into effect for the season this weekend.
Starting Saturday, December 1, vehicles aren’t permitted to park on streets designated as snow routes between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.
Vehicles parked in violation of the annual snow route parking ban can receive a $100 ticket ($75 if paid early), and may be towed.
Snow routes are a top priority for snow clearing to ensure that emergency vehicles can navigate quickly and safely around the city.
To find out if your street is a snow route, enter your address into the city’s website.
The annual ban is in effect until March 1, 2019.
