WINNIPEG — Western Canada’s largest (and favourite) winter festival is just around the corner and passes are now on sale.
Festival du Voyageur is celebrating its 50th edition February 15-24.
“Our community has rallied around us for 50 years now to celebrate and take pride in our heritage,” said Darrel Nadeau, executive director of Festival du Voyageur.
“We invite everyone to discover or rediscover our strong and vibrant community through our incredible lineup, our vast heritage programs, delicious traditional food, and fun family activities.”
New for 2019, the festival is limiting the full access Voyageur Pass ($75) to 1,500 people. A new pass called the 10-6 Pass ($45) will be valid from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for those who wish to attend multiple times but only during the day. Organizers are also offering a new volume discount applied to the purchase of day tickets for multiple days.
All day tickets are $25 and will go on sale soon. Further ticket information is available by visiting heho.ca.
A complete list of musical acts will be announced on January 15. Festival-goers can see who’s performing early by downloading the new Festival du Voyageur app on Apple and Android devices. A new musical artist will be announced weekly until the second week of January.
