Winnipeg police have four people in custody after a traffic stop on Wednesday led to the discovery of drugs and weapons.
Police pulled a vehicle over at around 12:45 a.m. in the 400 block of Main Street, where they noticed the driver and passenger switch places.
Three men and a woman were asked to exit the vehicle and officers began their search inside.
Police found a methamphetamine needle, cell phone, a loaded zip gun, four shotgun shells, several .22 calibre cartridges and 12 gauge shotgun shells were located. Police also found a loaded 12 gauge shotgun, small baggies, a digital scale, 18 hydro morphine pills, and one .25 gram rock of crack cocaine in the vehicle.
The driver was arrested for exhibiting signs of impairment.
Once at police headquarters, the female suspect was found with two bags containing eight grams of methamphetamine, which she had concealed under her clothing.
Harold James Maytwayashing, 37, Gary Leo Joseph Carriere, 42, Timothy Jordan Hastings, 29, and Morgan Cale Bruyere, 23, all face multiple drugs and weapons charges. They remain in custody.
