WINNIPEG — A woman was arrested on Wednesday after she allegedly set fire to an apartment building on September 14.

Police say emergency crews responded to the 100 block of Henry Avenue to find a fire on the sixth floor, causing the entire building to evacuate.

The woman was a resident of the building and lit paper towels on fire in a washroom, causing approximately $60,000 in damage.

Three people suffered minor injuries during the blaze, including one firefighter.

Police arrested the 32-year-old woman on December 5 and have charged her with arson with disregard for human life and arson causing damage to property. She was released on a promise to appear.
