Winnipeg police have laid charges after a 38-year-old woman was fatally stabbed Thursday evening in the first 100 block of Tyndall Avenue.
Police responded to a stabbing at a residence at around 6:30 p.m. and found the victim with severe upper body injuries. She was taken to hospital and later died.
Lisa Marie Kubica of Winnipeg has been identified as the victim.
Police say the suspect had attended the residence on Tyndall Avenue while armed with a weapon to confront the victim over past issues and seriously assaulted her.
Police arrested Phyllis Dawn Pascal of Winnipeg, 45, at a nearby residence. She has been charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody.
