Brandon police have recovered a stolen ATV and other equipment after a truck and trailer went into the ditch Monday morning.

Police spotted the truck at around 4:45 a.m. with a Polaris 700 ATV side-by-side, an outboard motor and Norbert utility trailer. The vehicle headed eastbound on Highway 110 near 17th Street when police began following it to the Trans-Canada Highway.

Police say the truck went through a stop sign and into the ditch through a field on the north side of the highway. Three people inside attempted to flee, but police on foot caught two of them. The third suspect was apprehended with the help of a police dog.

A 21-year-old man from Silver Ridge, Manitoba, a 31-year-old Brandon man and 16-year-old Brandon boy face multiple charges. All three are scheduled to appear in court in January.
