WINNIPEG — A house fire Saturday morning has claimed the life of one man and a dog.
Winnipeg firefighters arrived to the fire in a bi-level family residence just before 10:30 a.m. at 46 Martell Crescent.
The structure was well-involved at the time with flames coming out of the basement windows.
A call to 91reporteded that one person was potentially trapped inside. Crews entered to conduct a search and located the deceased person and the animal.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available.
