Two Charged After Meth, Weapons Recovered from Stolen Vehicle

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo people have been charged after Winnipeg police recovered a stolen vehicle on Boxing Day after spotting it in the area of Selkirk Avenue and Salter Street.

Police say the vehicle pulled into a gas station parking lot, but both the man and woman inside fled on foot upon seeing police. They were taken into custody after a short pursuit.

The man was found with approximately 4.6 grams of methamphetamine in his possession.

Officers also found an improvised firing device, a rifle, ammunition and approximately 1.9 grams of methamphetamine inside.

The vehicle recovered was stolen on December 25 from the 900 block of Ashburn Street.

Lee Edward Douglas Pashe, 31, of Long Plain, Manitoba and Jessica Rose Munroe of Winnipeg, 24, both face drugs, weapons and other related charges.
