Week three of the RCMP’s holiday checkstop program in Manitoba has resulted in 21 people being charged with impaired driving.
Mounties pulled over approximately 4,000 vehicles through 68 checkstops between December 17-23.
Of those checked, two people were charged with refusing a breathalyzer, six alcohol-related suspensions were issued, one drug-related suspension and 12 people were charged for improper storage of alcohol or cannabis in a vehicle.
The highest blood alcohol reading reported was .220, nearly three times the legal limit.
