Winnipeg Police CrestIf you’re going to call Winnipeg police to report a crime, perhaps it would be a wise idea to get rid of your drugs first.

Police say a city man called them on Wednesday to report he had been assaulted at a hotel in the 1700 block of Ellice Avenue, but didn’t know where the suspects were.

Police arrived at the man’s hotel room to find cocaine and placed him under arrest.
