Winnipeg Restaurant Patron Arrested with Knife, Other Weapons

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police escorted an armed man from a restaurant on Friday after employees said he refused to leave.

Officers responded to an unrelated incident in the 100 block of Isabel Street just before 8 a.m. and found the man to be carrying a knife.

He was arrested and police began to search him, where they found a homemade gun, numerous rounds of ammunition, a dart-like object, one gram of methamphetamine worth $100 and a blank cheque that was taken from a business in the St. John’s area of the city.

Adam Michael Edward Forget, 29, faces several weapons and drug charges. He remains in custody.
