A Manitoba woman is $50,000 richer after scratching a $3 crossword ticket.
Jeanne Werhun of Narol won the prize on the CROSSWORD Zing ticket.
“I scratched the ticket and thought I won $1,000,” she said. “I took a closer look and was shocked — $50,000! It’s such a surreal experience.”
Werhun plans to pay off some bills and share the winnings with her family.
“After that, I might take a look at booking a vacation somewhere.”
Werhun purchased her winning Zing ticket at Sobeys Birds Hill in East St. Paul.
