Running Truck Stolen from St. James Dealership Crashes into Multiple Vehicles

Winnipeg Police CrestWINNIPEG — A truck left running at a St. James auto dealership ended up being taken on a wild through Winnipeg streets on Friday.

The truck was swiped from the St. James industrial area at around 11:30 a.m. An employee was able to track it and let police in on its location as it travelled city streets.

Police caught up with the truck as it sped through a four-way stop at Gateway Road and Jim Smith Drive, colliding with another vehicle.

It continued on Keewatin Street near Logan Avenue, where it struck a second vehicle.

The truck then hit a parked vehicle on Malden Close before being found abandoned in the 1400 block of Roy Avenue. Two suspects running from the vehicle was taken into custody a short distance away.

Neither occupant of the first two vehicles that were hit required medical attention.

Halen James McLeod, 26, and William Gladstone Yuzicappi, 27, were arrested and charged. They both remain in custody.
