Manitoba RCMP say two males knocked on the door at around 11:15 p.m. and one of them stabbed the man in the upper body. The suspects then grabbed a small amount of marijuana from the home before fleeing in a vehicle.

The 36-year-old victim was taken to hospital and remains in stable condition.

Police say officers found the suspect’s vehicle parked on the roadside of Highway 5, west of Grandview, and took both people into custody after a brief altercation.

Roger Keshane, 21, of Gilbert Plains, faces numerous charges. A 17-year-old Gilbert Plains boy has also been charged.

The suspects and victim were known to each other, and police say there was never a public safety risk.
