RCMP Crest Logo VehicleManitoba RCMP have a 17-year-old boy in custody after they say he broke into a Steinbach apartment and threatened two people with a gun.

Police say the break and enter happened on February 18 at around 9:10 p.m. at an apartment on Loewen Boulevard.

Two suspects forced their way into the residence — one of them armed with a gun — and made serious threats. No one was injured during the incident and no shots were fired.

RCMP believe the break-in was targeted.

The teen from RM of DeSalaberry was arrested this week and charged with multiple offences, including weapons-related charges.

Steinbach RCMP are trying to identify the second suspect and ask anyone with information to call (204) 326-4452 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
