A 17-year-old boy on his way home from school last Friday was caught doing nearly double the speed limit on a Manitoba highway.
RCMP say the teen was doing 190 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on Highway 34 in a Ford Fusion. He told the officer that he was “stressed out about school and needed to get home quickly.”
Along with the hefty fine, the teen was also issued a serious offence notice and will have his licence renewed by Manitoba Public Insurance.
