A man who was hit by a vehicle as he was lying on Highway 10 just south of Flin Flon is recovering from his injuries in a Winnipeg hospital.
The 35-year-old man from Sherridon, Manitoba was struck by a pickup truck Monday night. The 59-year-old driver, a man from Schist Lake, was travelling southbound just before 10 p.m. when the accident occurred.
The driver stopped to flag down another motorist to contact 911.
The victim was flown to Winnipeg in critical condition and has since been upgraded to stable.
It’s not clear why the man was lying on the highway. RCMP are continuing to investigate.
