Manitoba RCMP have charged four men in connection with the death of an inmate at Stony Mountain Institution last summer.
Adam Kent Monias, 25, was seriously assaulted on August 16, 2018. The Norway House man later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
After an investigation, Stonewall RCMP arrested and charged four people with second-degree murder between March 12-13.
Charged are:
- Braiden Moneyas, 22, from Brandon
- Kane Moar, 21, from Winnipeg
- Raymond McDonald, 24, from Winnipeg
- Michael Oksasikewiyin, 25, from Saskatoon, SK
All four suspects were remanded back into custody at Stony Mountain Institution and will appear in Winnipeg court on Wednesday.
Police are continuing to investigate.
