A former Winnipeg man has been charged in a fatal hit and run on Marion Street that occurred nearly two years ago.
A woman in her 60s was hit and pronounced deceased on August 3, 2017. The vehicle involved fled the scene without stopping.
Police later determined the truck and trailer it was towing were stolen.
Gator Albert Browne, 40, has been charged with numerous offences, including criminal negligence causing death.
Police say Browne was a one-time resident of the city.
