Winnipeg-based Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life are merging under one brand.
A news release says the insurance companies will now be known simply as Canada Life.
The company says its U.S. business and European operations won’t be affected by the change.
The move will unite more than 11,000 employees across Canada but no jobs are to be cut as a result of the announcement.
“Our employees are central not only to our companies’ growth, but to the relationship of trust that we’ve built with our customers, advisors and consultants,” said Jeff Macoun, president and COO, Canada.
“Under the new Canada Life brand, we’ll make it easier for them to deliver for our customers, advisors, consultants, and their communities.”
Aside from brand unification, all three and their holding companies have begun the process to formally amalgamate as one company.
