Winnipeg police have made an arrest after a man was deliberately hit by a vehicle early Saturday while leaving work.
Police say the victim was closing up a beverage room where he worked in the 300 block of Marion Street when the incident occurred.
The employee was in the parking lot at around 2:20 a.m. when he heard squealing tires and saw a vehicle drive directly towards him. He jumped up, but was hit in the lower body, causing him to land on the vehicle’s hood and windshield.
The vehicle and driver fled the scene.
Police arrested a 25-year-old man on Sunday and have charged him with numerous offences. He was released on a promise to appear.
