Brandon police are investigating a shooting in the city after a sawed-off shotgun was fired at two people on Monday evening.
Police responded to gunshots in the 800 block of Brandon Avenue shortly before 6 p.m.
Officers found an 18-year-old Winnipeg man and 22-year-old Brandon man in the area. They say the two were sitting in a vehicle before they had an altercation with two other males. Two of the people were pepper sprayed and then one of them fired at the males on foot, who then fled the area prior to police arriving.
It’s unclear if the two people who ran were injured in the shooting.
The first two men appeared in Brandon court Tuesday morning.
Police continue to investigate.
