The Manitoba Bisons have signed former Regina Pats defenceman Brady Pouteau for the 2019-20 season.
The Oak Bluff native spent his five-year WHL career between the Pats — who originally drafted him — and the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
The 21-year-old played in 201 career regular season games, tallying 48 points while also being named an alternate captain for Regina in 2018-19.
“We are thrilled and honoured that veteran WHL defenceman Brady Pouteau has chosen the University of Manitoba Bisons as the program to continue his hockey and academic career,” said Bisons head coach Mike Sirant.
“Brady is a quality person who possesses the outstanding character and values that we expect in a Bison student-athlete. He is solid defensively while also having the skills, vision, and mobility to contribute offensively. Brady brings a winning attitude from his experience playing with the Regina Pats who reached the Memorial Cup Final in 2018.”
